House of Cards

This January Grant and I decided to renew out Netflix subscription.  Will all this Army paperwork moving slower than molasses, we figured making our way through some TV series and B movies would be great distractions.

Saturday we were talking to Gordie and he suggested House of Cards.  I was a little hesitant.  See Gordie tends to suggest actual high quality material---not always Kingsley friendly media.  And Netflix gives it a MA rating...but we decided to check it out.

It took me a second to get invested; but halfway through the first episode we were HOOKED.  We finished all 13 episodes by lunch on Monday.  From the buzz on twitter, flying through the episodes seems to be the trend.

If you haven't heard, House of Cards is the first series released straight to Netflix and stars Kevin Spacey as the House Majority Whip.  He's not very happy that he's been passed over for Secretary of State and is getting revenge slowly but surely.  The show is manipulative and completely addicting.  We really can't wait for the next season to be released.  But until then, I'll just keep watching the Kardashians in my attempt to make the Netflix more Kingsley and girly and less Grant and boyish...
