baby griki 2 update: weeks 18, 19, 20, 21

Week 18 (baby was size of turnip) was the first week back with students.  Which also meant I was asleep by 8 o'clock each night.  Another doctor's appointment.  Baby is doing great.  I've gained two pounds so far....although I'm finding that a little hard to believe since no other place on my body is shrinking...Started to feel real baby kicks this week.  Allison moved back to Chicago (cue lots of pregnancy tears and sad tears in general).

Week 19 (baby was size of sweet potato) started off with Marley fighting a terrible cold brought on by the arrival of one of her molars! We had a weekend filled with snuggles and fall weather. I decided that if I had to go back to school, it was time to get out all of our fall decorations! The house is now fully decorated for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Week 20 (baby was size of tomato) meant Grant's birthday and more progress on the nursery! We took a quick babymoon all the way to the Lafayette Park Hotel after a delicious dinner at Paragon.  We woke up the next morning and had the most amazing couple's massage.  Marley was less than thrilled that we were gone for a night even though she loved her time with Grandma and Grandpa.  Auntie Caroline moved into her new place so the movers took the heavy sleeper sofa out of the nursery while they were moving other things.  Now all of the furniture is in the right place, clothes are put away, and the crib is put together! Marley's new favorite game is running around the glider in circles and hiding from Daddy between the glider and the closet.

Week 21 (baby was size of mango) started off with our 20 week ultrasound.  We got to see baby boy moving around and he looks so much like Marley.  They have the same nose and he had his hands by his face just like she did in each ultrasound. It was a busy week with cheer meetings and Back to School Night and my body felt it.  The tachycardia kicked in and the rest of the POTS symptoms have been out in full force. Hoping the fall weather will help.

Still can't believe we're halfway there!
